About me

I am a dedicated and compassionate occupational therapist, having graduated from Furman University with a degree in Health Sciences in 2020. During my time at Furman, I gained valuable experience working alongside occupational therapists, providing one-on-one support for a child with hemiplegia. This experience allowed me to witness the benefits of Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy firsthand, which sparked my passion for enhancing functional mobility in children. Additionally, I worked with a preschooler with Williams Syndrome, adapting her curriculum to increase independence and improve her school experience.

These experiences motivated me to further my education, leading me to Augusta University, where I completed my Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. During my studies at AU, I completed a fieldwork experience that exposed me to nature-based occupational therapy and Hippotherapy. This experience ignited my passion for working outdoors with children, leading me to obtain my Level 1 Hippotherapy certification.

Currently, I work in the school system ensuring students can access their education and reach their highest potential in the classroom. For the last 2 years, I worked in a clinical setting, where I provide outpatient therapy for children with a variety of diagnoses. My professional passions include working with children and families navigating new Autism diagnoses and providing education on the benefits of sensory integration for regulation. I am committed to providing child-led, individualized treatment for each client and pride myself on offering engaging and enthusiastic therapy.

In my free time, you'll often find me in the backyard with my mischievous kitties, Miss Brown and Little Orange. It's never a dull moment, as their favorite pastime seems to be playing 'delivery cat,' bringing me bugs or snakes for gifts! Who needs a wildlife documentary when you can have a front row seat with these these two around?
